1. Trim your hair

The sun may have given your colour a boost with natural streaks, but all that vitamin D you soaked up has probably left your hair looking and feeling dryer than ever.  Regular trims can transform dull broken hair. A trim will help hair look thicker and healthier and will prompt further growth into the colder months ahead, as well as get rid of last season’s split ends.

Follow these guidelines: for short hair get your ends trimmed every 6-8 weeks, mid-length every 8 weeks and long hair no longer than 10 weeks. Pre-book your next appointment when in the salon and receive 10% off your next visit.

2. Moisture your hair

Moisturising the ends with natural oils will keep hair supple and strong with the change in the weather, our skin can become dry and lacklustre. The same happens with our hair, so moisturiser is a must coming into the colder weather.  Try Davines OI Oil.

3. Invest in protective products for your hair

It was all well and good allowing your hair to dry Au natural while the sun is out, but now that it’s getting colder it’s best to use that hair dryer you own, unless you want to end up with a head cold.

When using heated styling products on your hair it’s necessary to keep hair protected and in good condition.

Davines Melu hair shield is Ideal for protecting all types of hair from heat stresses.  Melu hair shield helps your hair to stand the hottest temperatures up to 220°.

4. Avoid frequently washing your hair

Over-washing hair will strip it of its natural oils, which you need in the colder months. Try to extend the period between your wash as much as possible. A dry shampoo is the easier way to keep your hair fresh between washes.

Keep a Davines Hair refresher handy to refresh your style. It refreshes and cleans all hair types without using water. It does not weigh the hair down while creating a full-bodied volume. Hair is scented and soft like just-washed.

Also use a deep conditioning hair mask like Davines NouNou which is ideal for bleached, highlighted, permed or relaxed hair. Its formula is designed to deeply nourish treated hair, it also makes it soft and silky, giving it body.

Use every two weeks in the colder months ahead to replenish hair to its best condition. Follow our above tips to help give you healthy thick hair that will last the entire winter.
